New blood test improves prostate cancer screening

Karolinska researchers believe that Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) can mitigate prostatic cancer testing and have identified tools to screen prostate cancer. Tumours can be detected using existing screening tools paired with conventional procedures. The findings of the STHLM3MRI research demonstrated that using MRI instead of standard prostate tests could prevent diagnostic errors. STHLM3MRI is a screening test that analyzes a mix of antigenic determinants, gene mutations, and medical information using the software.
Study shows dogs can accurately sniff out cancer in the blood
https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/04/190408114304.htm
Dogs have more precise smell detectors/receptors which are 100000 times more accurate than people’s, rendering them more receptive to scents. According to recent research, dogs can utilize this ability to pick out cancerous specimens of blood. This study takes two approaches: canine smell detection and establishing the biomolecules the dogs perceive. BioScentDx will use the first approach to create cancer detection methods and other disorders.
New tech takes radiation out of cancer screening

This breakthrough system developed by researchers at the University of Waterloo allows women to be regularly screened for breast cancer without being exposed to radiation. It detects early phase malignancies using non-harmful microwaves and intelligent systems, including the smallest irregularities/anomalies are detected by the technology, which is extremely sensitive. A negative result from the technology rapidly rules out cancer, whereas a positive outcome might prompt further testing. It saves time, reduces subjection to radiation, enhances patient comfort and can be used on dense breasts which mammograms cannot do, as well as reducing medical costs while also increasing testing accessibility.
