An article titled ‘The workers who keep global supply chains moving are warning of a "system collapse,” published recently by CNN cautions the chaotic global supply chain faces yet another threat as workers in the sector warn of an impending “system collapse” (Ziady, 2021). The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted and adversely affected many sectors of the economy across the globe. Specifically, workers in the global supply chain have had to endure many challenges associated with the pandemic from quarantines, to travel restrictions to uncoordinated COVID-19 testing and vaccination requirements.
