I was trying to imagine if a teacher lacked some of the qualities, could he or she still be considered an excellent teacher. Also other questions and concerns come to mind such as the alternative steps the teacher would consider when he has neither humor nor patience to help him tackle the pressures involved with taking care of the children. I am always impressed with teachers who love all children equally despite their weaknesses. There can be situations whereby a teacher would love and prefer a calm child and finds it hard to cope with the stubborn ones. I think that a person's personality would determine if he or she can become a quality teacher since characteristics such as being creative is inborn. Even the author attests to the essence of being practical and have other skills besides a degree.
