Why are tutors Important? (Article Sample)

Why are tutors important?
Children learn in different ways; some quickly pick up the information from their teachers, while others don't. It is a challenge for most children to get a teacher who understands and teaches in their most effective learning style. This necessitates remedial learning for most students. So, why are tutors essential?
First, tuition helps students who need extra assistance after class. Tutors provide skills that enable students to improve their academics. The frequent practice tutors give to students helps them build their knowledge during their formal courses in schools (Tsabar, 2012). Tutoring is essential in academics; it is not a shame that a child may need a tutor.
Second, a tutor personalizes the students' learning and receives immediate feedback; thus, they understand their needs. Some teachers can be very busy with teaching and may not give students the time to internalize a given concept during the usual learning period. In that case, tutors can create adequate time to understand the needs of their students. The more a student practices, the more they improve skills and areas of weakness (Mendelsohn, 2013).
Last but not least, consistent and effective tutoring reduces non-productive behaviors. The bible also condemns idleness; it says, "idle hands are the devil's workshop; idle lips are his mouthpiece" (Proverbs 16:27, English Standard Version). The full interaction of tutors and students reduces the adverse effects of Internet access, addiction to mobile phones, and social media. Tutors often provide mentorship programs to their students in different areas. Through this process, students' classroom methods improve and later translate to quality grades (McGivney, 2006).
In conclusion, tutors are essential in the lives of many students. Their advice can make students improve on classwork and their general approach to life. They instill positive attributes on students, which results in the improvement of their overall system to coursework. The best thing required for a child when they need help in school is not to assume that they can catch up with the rest of the class; the importance of a tutor is immense in the development of many students with educational challenges.
