The science of materials featuring that size is nanotechnology and it could be described as the science of materials and devices whose structures and constituents demonstrate novel and considerably altered physical, chemical and biological phenomenon due to their nanoscale size (Martin, 2006). Nanoparticles are thus viewed as the “bridge” between the macroscopic and microscopic structures due to the fact that their physical and chemical properties are transitional between those of bulk materials and atomic or molecular structures. These special and unique properties could be attributed to their small size, which gives them one of their most attractive intrinsic properties: a high surface to volume ratio (Hasan et al., 2018; Khatoon et al., 2013).
