Successive strategic application in multinational corporations requires getting company collaborations right. Any panel in the company should know that creation of collaboration and trust culture is paramount to the success. The aim of partnerships is getting better results for the company. For achieving better results, a response team is required in the process. Members of the group should not be hiding behind the backs of others. In the case of Mathew, members of the committee have viewed charity work has led to losses experienced. The team does not seem to embrace their different responsibilities to have led to poor performance. Therefore, in question number one, the team lacks accountability.
Mathew is involved in a problem-solving group. They are to find a solution as to why the corporation is underperforming. The problem-solving team is typically formed with limited time frame. This group includes staff members of the organization from different levels. Mathew is enjoined in this group with superior members of his department such as CFO and the department's general manager. Other members are from various departments within the organization possessing required skills.
Mathew and his CFO get in the role ambiguity conflict. The two are unclear on the expectations of the charitable work done by the company. CFO ill defines the responsibility of the firm participating in charitable work. He sees this as a waste of money that can help in carrying other profitable activities that can generate revenue for the company. On the other hand, Mathew views involvement in charitable activities as important activities of the firm. In his view, charity involvement has created a lot of goodwill activities and enhanced the company's image in the society. The third question shows a presence of role ambiguity conflict.
Conflicts amongst team members cannot be resolved when one member feels there are aggressive gestures directed towards him or her. When this happens in a group, the effectiveness of the group is compromised. In question number three we saw the existence of role ambiguity conflict between Mathew and his CFO. Mathew feels that his boss was maybe a little more sensitive to the friendliness he has with the Atkin’s family.
