Seeking help in foreign city
A few years back,I lived in a remote and my native country ,Pakistan,from which I had moved to Los Angeles.As I have been offered job in the company near Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles,my apartment was near it.My community,where I lived was a high density,modern in the era town.My neighbours were so rude and pathetic,they always find a way to annoy me by doing ill-mannered things.My native country’s people were very good and good-mannered.They were also very helping.In start ,I missed my parents and siblings badly,but then I adjusted.However ,my colleagues and peers were very helpful. The most beautiful thing about this city is rising sun scenery.When dawn came ,I would go to jogging and by passing long beach and watching sun rising high in the mountains and observing that alluring drop curtain I would be absorbed in mesmerizing nature.This city has many recollections ,in which some of them were so ludicrous and irrational and some of them gave me nightmares(god!I am thankful that I am back).

Retrieved from http://catalog.hathitrust.org/Record/001029608 and I had always made sure that I avoid potential danger there,so my painstaking precautions couldn’t land me in danger.The people were good and bad ,as always,but I had many friends which told me the true meaning of friendship and I had never expected that I would find them in Los Angeles.
Once,I was going to market and I had forgotten to take my Id card with me.As I was new there,I didn’t know the rules completely.When I had done my shopping in super mart and after paying my bill was going back to my apartment,a police car came near me and asked of my identity.I was first flabbergasted and don’t know what to do.I told them about my job and my id details and when they asked me to show my id,I told them that I had forgotten it to bring with me.They were looking pretty suspicious about me and asked me to go with them to police station.As a Asian,I know that why are they not believing me because Asians has not good repute in West.I was horrified and sleepy and just want this nightmare to be over.As I was in foreign country and don’t know anything about there except information related to my apartment and job.I begged them to call foreign agency and let me take information about my id and passport as they would also not let me to go my home.
I know that I was screwed up and don’t know what to do.If I had been in my native country I would not be feeling that humiliation which I had experienced there and when we reached police station ,DSP started doing investigation to me and this thing started getting on my nerves.I had then done anything to get this all over.My country has well-mannered repute about this,as there were embassies there and foreigners don’t have any problem if their id is forgotten.They sent a team to investigate my apartment so that they knew I was not involved in some illegal activity.My native country has not plus point in this as they didn’t conduct any investigation but those police officers were doing there work very honorably.Even In those life wr...
