WHAT ARE CORAL REEFS:
Coral reefs are the much more diverse community of all marine ecosystems in the world unlike we thought. They are similar to other abiotic species. But unlike we thought, coral reefs are also big in numbers. Corals are related to sea anemones, and they all share the same structure, the polyp. The polyp is like a tin can open at just one end called the mouth.
The biological inheritance of the animals we call corals are not simple, and some groups have more resemblance same species. All corals belong to the phylum Cnidaria in a biological hierarchy. Temperatures rise cause corals to lose the microscopic algae that help in the food corals need—a condition is known as coral bleaching.
