Matthew Engelke submits a lively and accessible introduction to anthropology that covers subjects, practitioners, and a range of contemporary approaches. The book encourages a reader to meditate about various cases used by anthropology to make sense of the world through concepts of culture, civilization, values, value, blood, identity, authority, reason, and nature. 'How to Think Like an Anthropologist' constitutes eleven chapters with an introduction, analysis of nine concepts, and a conclusion.
