The theme of division in the social hierarchy is essential because it shows how people access power and resources differently in society. Shakespeare displays crucial concerns with social construction and class dynamics. He displays the topic of social hierarchy by using characters that come from different social classes, such as yeomen, nobles, beggars, kings, and laborers. The issue of division in social class was of great interest in the late twentieth century, and this has continued to date.
