Introduction
Nintendo is a Japanese multinational company dealing in consumer electronics and software. The company was founded in 1889 as a playing card company. However, in the late 1970’s, the company shifted its focus to video game consoles and games. The company has been able to sell over 670 million hardware and 4.23 billion software globally. Currently, the company ranks third behind Sony and Microsoft in the gaming industry.

The gaming industry is ever expanding and has continued to grow in the face of new technological advancements. The industry is dominated by well-known multi-national companies such as Sony and Microsoft. However, the growth of smart phones has allowed independent game developers to bring added competition in the market with most of the games now played on mobiles and they can be acquired freely. The average pay in the industry is also on the rise with annual increase in employment opportunities. This presents the industry with a chance for expansion and increased growth (Morris, 2018). At present, customers are inclined towards those games that will enable them to have 3D experience and faster central processing units (CPU).
