The Body Shop: Case Analysis
Introduction
The beauty products are using everywhere around the world not just by women but men also using beauty products. The beauty products are widely available in the market and very easy to get just when you needed. No doubt this is an emerging business and rising day by day but the main problem is that it has a high market competition for new entrepreneurs (Allen, R. 2017). The new business man must need to have a unique identification of himself that is so appreciative to make himself stronger in the market. The main question that is to be discussed in this document is how a student could get this done. Each and every field requires experience. How a problem does could be solved. The reason to the occurring question is that because this field requires high level domain knowledge to understand for the development of better products so that a person could show the uniqueness of his product to make the product stand between the other market products similar to them. This question has discussed by the experts of the world and their prior knowledge is mixed in this study to make it more researchable and tricky to understand for the beginners. Only the high business minded entrepreneur could seek help from these ideas to make more products to stand in a market. Some of these experts documented their studies in less complex ways or the help of others. Students must take help from those documents and after the analysis of these products He or she may made his appropriate decision that must lead them somewhere in their research (Allen, R. 2017).
Key Strategies to make the product Unconquerable:
There are always some key strategies to achieve an excellence in any domain. These key strategies cannot be learned from anywhere but the experience. There are two strategies to even gain the experience. One of them is just gain the experience with the passage of time. This is the simple strategy. The other one is learning from other's experience. This is the wise strategy and almost all the entrepreneurs use this strategy. This is really important for the students to keep it in their mind while thinking about starting their own business. The owner of the body shop itself told about these strategies that are remarkable in the market and she made these strategies the reason of the success of the body shop in the world (Allen, R. 2017). She told that how in mid 70's his husband went out for some business leaving her alone in the home. She has nothing to do but she travelled allot for her personal works. She gave the travel and explore strategy the priority on the documented knowledge based on hypothesis and explanations. She believed in the real work and she told that work by exploring the normal people. Watching them using their own creams for their faces and exploring what they use in it. She made such a products that are remarkable around the globe. This shows her way to make her products unique in the market. The analysis made by the body shop owner told us that it is often a point of discussion that the business close to their entrepreneur are in great dangers because of the complete business dependency on the entrepreneur like the owner Roddick said that whole product is made by her travelling experience have some dangers of falling down but nothing could happened with the body shop because body shop is not limited by the beauty products (Allen, R. 2017). A good entrepreneur always aware of the danger terms and make good steps to overcome those steps for the better future of the organization.
Analysis of the Key Strategies
The critical review against the thoughts and experiences shared in the key strategies by the owner of the body shop are now as follows in further discussion. The point has been made that main strategy of a good product is making the product by exploring the real environment rather than documented hypothesis and explanations. This is a point which all of the entrepreneurs are united in the thought that exploring and travelling helps more in making of real time products. In personal opinion this strategy is more applicable for the business like the body shop because it involves all of the data of the real time organizations. The testing of the beauty products could also be checked in an open environment. The point discussed above is that a good entrepreneur always learns from the experience of the people (Allen, R. 2017). Exploratory learning is exactly the same thing the owner did. She travelled and explored the world. She met different people and ask the consequences of the products from them. Giving her own thoughts to that data the output has received. The end product includes prior data knowledge and the analysis and this is the thing which students should follow. The analysis of the strategies and the addition of their own thoughts to those strategies to make them unique and make remarkable changes in the market. The danger that organization felt with the attachment of the products manufacturing and distribution with an entrepreneur is here but a good entrepreneur always took early decisions to avoid them from generating failure of an organization (Andrew Crane, D. M. 2007). This raises the question of survival of the body shop after the existence of its owner. The answer to this question is very simple. Again the good entrepreneur takes early decision to avoid failure. This is enough to say for its answer that recently the body shop acquires the L'Oreal's in $137 billion. This could be the template for the entrepreneurs to generate the good decision in order to make the long term plan of their organization.
Product-Manufacturer Relationship
The product-manufacturer relationship seems dangerous for the organization's future in many people opinion. There are few chances of this to be true. It's true only if the proper circumstances are not taken at early stages of planning due to the lack of skills. It is exceptional if the planning is accurate and the organization is doing good business and expanding its business (Andrew Crane, D. M. 2007). The other factor is that organization is not keeping itself limited to one business only like the body shop owners acquires the loreal's company and many other perfume companies as well (Alakeson, C. 2004). This is the strategy to make this con a pro for your organization. Make such circumstances and decisions that could help your organization to survive.
Conclusion
The strategies that are mentioned as the answer of the questions raised at the organization level. The strategies that are mentioned by the owner are differentiation and exploratory learning. Both of these strategies describes the appropriate ways to make the good remarkable product to compete in a market (Allen, R. 2017). Exploratory learning shows the strategy of the owner that is to explore the world by travelling and learn the ways by asking the different users of products about their usage and prepare the own unique product that keeps the name of the organization high in the market. The dangers for the brand that is most dependent on its entrepreneur are also discussed that if the prior decisions are already made by an entrepreneur in the long term planning than this fear or risk could be avoided by the organization. All of these aspects showed the steps that students must take to become an entrepreneur to start their own products. The things that they must have kept in mind are all discussed. Other than that only experience could teach them lesson for life.
