It’s believed that Parsons was the founder of professional career development. He built up the approach of talent matching which later became the occupational and trait theory. Parsons' centre idea was that of matching. He proposed that occupational decision happens when individuals have accomplished: an exact comprehension of their individual attributes for example individual abilities and interests, a learning of occupations and market availability of labour and make a reasonable and goal oriented judgment about the connection between the two realities (Leung, 2008).
