SECTION A: 1. How would you describe the speaker’s work or practice?
Craig Stone is passionate in his work. He started his football career when he was 10 years and he had become semi-professional footballer by the age of sixteen years old.
2. What seems to drive the speaker’s work/practice?
The speaker seems to love the work he does. He seems in love with football and he does it as a passion. His passion in playing football shows total love of what he does.
3. How would you characterize the way the speaker talked about their work/practice?
I would characterize him as a competent and hardworking player. It would not be easy for him to become a semi-professional player at the age of sixteen if it was not for hardwork and efforts.
4. Did you feel the lecture was successful? How and Why? Be honest.
The lecture was a success. The speaker seemed to have attained a lot still at his youth. Therefore if it was me I would still do the same.
5. What was the most surprising thing to you about this speaker or lecture?
I was surprised by his passion in football and joining football team when he was only 20 years. According to me this is so young but he courageously joined and by the age of sixteen he was playing for a national football team.
SECTION B: 6. Do you feel you have a sense of how education or life experience informed the speaker’s work? How so?
Yes, experience affected the speaker's work positively. After serious training he was able to acquire the required experience to join a national team by the age of sixteen and also given the title semi-professional player.
7. What insights or perspectives did you gain from the lecture about navigating a system or systems while pursuing a career?
I learned that through passion, hardwork and competence goals are achievable regardless of how hard they might seem. These three key factors leads to success of any work one is doing.
