Investment Analysis
Introduction
In portfolio management, directors undertake investment analysis to determine viable assets that attract higher profits. Ideally, investment analysis entails comparing risks and profits in a group of assets, which enables financial managers to mitigate uncertainties through decisions. This notion utilizes Markowitz's portfolio theory formulated in 1952. It provides mathematical formulas for the computation of the expected rate of return, variance, and standard deviation of an investment (Marling and Sara 2). The paper focuses on investment analysis of portfolio management through the computation of expected return and standard deviation.
