Growing up as a child is one of the delicate moments a person experiences. There are a lot of mistakes being made along the way, and it is so easy to use the phrase 'he is just a child. He will grow up to cover up the mess people make at the begging of their life. The worst part of it is that no child knows exactly when that is the point that matters most, and that particular decision made impacts the whole life a head. We may never really know what we missed out on in the end or what full potential a person can reach later in life if they do not make bad decisions when they are children (Cesar & Decker, 2020). However, the alternative is just as painful because eventually, people suffer from their mistakes, which is a huge price.
During my time in high school, there were a lot of changes happening in my life. I had just approached puberty, and everything seemed different. I had tendencies to develop independence, disregarding adult supervision at the time. I sought to conform to my peers, and their validation meant so much to me. My Geography teacher looked past my developing attitude and saw a student in me. She was strict about my arrogance and ensured I followed the rules. At some point, I skipped school after a disciplinary case, and she came home, talked to my parents and later had a long conversation with me about my life. Everything was never the same after that.
