The Four Stages of a Fire
With regard to the most common international standards of fire service, there are four main stages of a fire (Soleh & Tobari, 2019).
Incipient: This is the first phase and begins with the combustion and reaction of heat, oxygen and other fuel sources. The phase accounts for the ignition of the fire that often goes off on its own. When fire is recognized at this stage, it is easy to manage it.
