Title: Hour
Author: Carol Ann Duffy.
Type of poem: Love Poem.
Why: The poet mainly focuses on conflicting the old way of romance and spending time with the lover in floras loveliness.
Rhyme scheme: The poet uses the half-rhymes in the poet. This is seconded by the fact that all sentences have not been confined to ten syllables. The poet also uses half-rhyme in the end of sentences for instance in (hour/ ear, hair/here).
Organization: The poet has organized the poem into stanzas and lines. The whole structure of the poem has a lot of rhythm and rhyme. The half-rhyme seems to be perfect whereby the poet portrays her message in a memorable way.
Setting: The setting of the poem is based on a love story. The poet wants to spend time with the lover. It slightly goes against the traditional way of poetry and is based on homosexual love.
