STRATEGIES TO COMPLY WITH NMBA GUIDELINES
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia is a regulation institution that sets rule and regulation for the practice of nursing and midwifery in Australia CITATION Nur141 \l 1033 (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, 2014). Its mandate is to ensure a safe and quality provision of healthcare services to the citizens of Australia by qualified nurses and midwives CITATION Nur142 \l 1033 (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, 2014). My strategy to comply with the guidelines set by the NMBA board would be to read and understand all the set out rules of practice that entails code of ethics, social media policy, and codes of professional conduct, competency standards, decision making framework, guidelines for registration standards, professional boundaries, professional practice guidelines and re-entry to practice CITATION Aus14 \l 1033 (Australian College of Midwives, 2014). It is imperative that nurses and midwives read and understand the guidelines as set out by the board (Forrester, 2012.p. 680). In professional care standards, nurses and midwives are required to have some decision making tools that are essential for the safe provision of health care services (Fox-Young & Ashley, 2010.p. 2237). An understanding and the practice of the code of ethics and the guidelines set out by the board would protect nurses against unnecessary law suits (Forsyth, 2010.p. 17).
