The Wells International Foundation
The Wells International Foundation (WIF) is a U.S. non profit organization that was founded an African American resident of Paris. She is passionate about empowering individuals especially women and persons of the African descent. Dr Wells realized that though she and many others can enjoy what the City of Lights had to offer, there are also many who cannot.
The mission of the foundation is to empower women and persons of African descent to realize their highest potential through arts, literacy, study abroad and other educational and cultural programs. WIF provides and supports a number of programs and activities that mostly target the following areas: Women’s empowerment, Literacy, Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) for girls and young women.
