Global warming: Myth or Reality
Global warming is a rise in levels of atmospheric temperatures as a result of greenhouse effect. Carbon dioxide gas, pollutants and other greenhouse gases are responsible for increased atmospheric temperature as they absorb heat energy from the sun and later radiates back to the atmosphere. The levels of carbon dioxide have increased rapidly since 1950s according to National Aeronautics and Space Administration, (NASA) statistics on their website. This phenomena has been attributed to industrialization and increased human activities. The global warming has brought about adverse effects associated with increased temperatures especially on glacier areas.
