TASK: CHAPTER 3 METHODOLOGY FOR RESEARCH IN THE ROLE OF BLOGS IN THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES IN THE MARKETING OF LUXURY BRANDS
RESEARCH DESIGN THAT INCLUDES THE RESEARC METHODS, DATA COLLECTION TECHNIQUES, POPULATION SAMPLE AND SAMPLING TECHNIQUE, DATA ANALYSIS, VALIDITY AND RELIABILITY,ETHICAL CONSIDERATION AND CONCLUSION
The purpose of this paper is to identify and create a comprehensive role of blogs in the United Arab Emirates in the marketing of luxury brands. The focus of the paper is to be the extensive use of blogs in UAE since it is the most successful means of marketing of luxury brands worldwide and the leading social media marketing platform. This chapter will seek to provide an insight into the data collection process, data analysis, validity issues, and the reliability and ethics of the process. More information will be provided on the primary data collection techniques and an explanation on how the secondary information in Chapter 2 was retrieved.
This section will focus on UAE and the means in which the required data will be collected to achieve the purpose of this paper. This section is critical since it will provide detailed methods that will be applied in data collection from various bloggers, luxury brands, and citizens of UAE. The blueprint of the whole study will be provided hence resulting to the identification of the interfering factors of validity. The best design for this paper will be the qualitative design given the social nature of the study hence its dominance. This design is best since it creates active interaction with the sources while at the same time focusing on the observational aspect as compared to the quantitative design. When dealing with the uptake of marketing information from blogs this design has the highest chances of achieving the goals of the study.
In this paper, both the qualitative and quantitative methods will be applied to assess the roles and the changes that bloggers in the UAE are creating in the luxury brands in terms of uptake of marketing information. The questionnaires, in this case, will comprise of both close and open-ended questions in order to meet the goals of both methods.
This study will focus more on the qualitative methods to reveal the factors that have affected the uptake of marketing information of luxury brands using the blog in UAE. This will lead to the application of the inductive approach that is considered the most effective due the attention it awards outstanding themes in the collected data. The use of this approach, therefore, has higher chances of accomplishing the objectives of the research.
