ABSTRACT
In the IT sector, there is an increasing demand for business analysts. The business operates in close cooperation with the IT company; the latter is qualified to meet the company requirements. A business analyst's primary role is to serve as an intermediary between business requirements and IT resources to increase its performance and productivity. This paper presents the results of a conceptual case study of a group of market analysts working at a major organization in the public sector. I find that business analysts are generally supposed to 'shield' users and IT employees from one another. It is likely to affect business analysts' role in the organizational framework and prior work experience in businesses or IT, the emphasis of their work, the proximity and confidence built with consumers and IT staff, and their reputation in covering users and IT staff. Business analysts ought to navigate a middle ground among users and IT workers to achieve approved acceptance criteria that are both technologically possible to realize and can be produced at a reasonable cost and a good program for the commercial purpose and convenience to use. In this paper, I will indulge in the various roles that business analysts play in Computer society, not only in IT departments within my choosing but also within the IT world.
INTRODUCTION
BACKGROUND
Business analysts help direct organizations through data analysis to develop procedures, products, services, and applications. To help close the gap and enhance productivity, these agile staffs walk a fine line between IT and the business. To fully understand how data-driven modifications to processes, products, programs, software, and hardware can boost efficiencies and bring value, BAs communicate with business executives and users. These concepts need to be expressed and measured against what is technologically feasible and economically and functionally realistic. The role of a business analyst requires hard skills as well as soft skills. Business analysts need to understand how data patterns can be extracted, evaluated, and recorded and can communicate with others' knowledge. And extend it to the commercial side as long as they clearly understand how processes, products, and resources work; not all market analysts need a foundation in IT.
Organizations today are in a sprint to incorporate emerging technology to keep up with their rivalry. Nevertheless, two questions demand answers: are these entities ready for any new development in technology? And (ii) are these technological solutions suitable for any company? (Princewill 2019) New companies and organizations embrace critical business practices to maintain their viability and brand recognition with the increasingly evolving market and cut-throat competitiveness. The necessity of a business analyst has appeared as the need of the moment in such a circumstance. A business analyst defines the project's specifications and communicates them to the stakeholders, collaborators, and facilitators, allowing them to incorporate technological solutions financially.
There is a belief that business and systems analysts serve as a conduit between consumers and IT employees to bridge the so-called divide between these two classes when deciding the specifications of business and systems. Failure to define 'true business objectives' has been recognized as a critical primary contributor to Information Systems error rates, so the question must be raised about whether business analysts can successfully fill the gap. (Vashist et al. 2020) There would be no system improvement without system review, accidentally without a reasonable systems engineering plan for a new system or enhancement to an old system; organizational growth will be impeded. Analysis of the system is generally performed by a person identified as the System Analyst. This task has been changing, and it involves several sub-units that make it unique.
Business analysts have often played an essential role in software design, development, and execution by carrying out tasks such as: Being the conduit between business designers and customers of apps. Writing business specifications for the construction and enhancement of current applications. Choosing user applicants and perpetrating checking for user approval. Building and implementing test plans if there are no trained testers available. Writing training manuals and informing business users when there is no technical training available.
