Apple Inc. Organizational Culture
Apple Inc. is a US-based multi-technology company headquartered in California. The company design and develops, and sells software, online services, and consumer electronics. The company has revolutionized its mission and vision by focusing on addressing business opportunities in the technology sector through innovation. The company aims for excellence through its excellent organizational culture. As a result, the company hires top-notch employees. Inside the company, the managers enforce high performance among employees by ensuring they work for longer hours. Though the employees are well compensated, the culture results in a poor work-life balance. The company also does not provide flexibility since it restricts swapping shifts (Indeed, 2020). As a result, the employees feel burnt out, which may lower productivity. The company should adopt a more flexible organizational culture while maintaining excellence.
The company can employ Kotter's 8-Step Change Model that involves:
* Step One: Create Urgency by showing the importance of the change
* Step Two: Form a Powerful Coalition with both employees and managers to support the change.
* Step Three: Create a Vision for Change clearly describing what the change aims at achieving
* Step Four: Communicate the Vision throughout the organization continuously.
