This organization has made ethnography easier since it uses various devices that enable it to observe the activities taking place in the business.
How has ethnography contributed to the success of Costco?
Ethnography has majorly lead sustainability of the business; Costco has remained a profitable business over time. Ethnography has led to the development of sustainability principles and responsibilities within the business. The principles include; for Costco to thrive the world needs to thrive, and that they are committed to doing their part to help, that they focus on issues related to their business and where they can contribute to real, results-driven positive impact, and that they do not have all the answers, that they are learning as they go and seek continuous improvement. The Costco sustainability responsibilities include: taking care of their employees, supporting the communities where their members live and work, to operate efficiently and in an environmentally responsible manner, and to strategically source their merchandise in a sustainable manner.
