Abstract
Agile project management refers to an iterative approach used in managing projects that emphasizes on working on small batches at a time throughout the project duration. It works upon basic values of: collaboration-with customers (customer focus); transparency- in the processes of visualizing; adaptability- when changes occur, since it is inevitable; continuous improvement; sense of ownership shown by effective leadership, and quick acquisition of feedback. These attributes when blended together make a project agile (Kanbanize). The different sources used asserted that iterative life cycles entail various iterations and incremental steps geared towards project completion. Additionally, software development projects make use of iterative approaches since it encourages adaptability and velocity which iteration necessitates, making a business adjust as it progresses rather than remaining stagnant; stagnancy which may be caused by a firm employing the linear approach. One factor that helps the business adjust when using the agile approach is that it releases the benefits accrued in the project all along the project duration and not at the completion of the project, therefore, the firm can monitor and evaluate progress (Bergmann & Karwowski, 2018).
