Amazon, the most successful and leading e-commerce company, has three primary objectives; convenience, low prices, and best selection. These objectives permit their consumers to search and shop for various items, whether used or new. An increase in the e-commerce trend has resulted in companies like Amazon to consistently innovate and adapt modifications within the industry to retain its competitive advantage. Amazon has a well-defined organizational structure, which is unusual among multinational corporations. Its organizational structure integrates various teams that are in charge of several business features. This paper summarizes two strategic alternatives for Amazon based on both group and individual analyses and how they plan on implementing a viable strategy within the company.
Amazon, as a company, excels because of its sustainable competitive advantage, and their change in priorities because of policy changes. When the focus on particular product offerings changes, so does the focus on specific consumers to purchase those products. Amazon also has a market-based corporate governance system, which provides the company with the capacity to respond to the market’s dynamic variations. The company formed Amazon Website Services (AWS) by retailing to corporations its services of computing since 2000 to drive its operations of e-commerce (Cohan Peter, 2018). Presently, AWS is fast developing, with income increasing to 46 percent.
