Groupthink can be described as a wrong decision in a group due to the forces bringing a group together (Geramian et al., 2019). Effective decision-making in an organization should be objective where organizational members are allowed to bring together their opinions and come up with the best decision to solve a given issue (Geramian et al., 2019). It was one of the regular meetings that we used to have as an organizational member. This time, the top administrative management wanted a quick solution to deal with an emerging issue. Despite the encouragement that the employees were given, the environment was suspicious. This is because it seemed that the decision was already made, and incorporating organizational members was just a mere formality. The group leader downplayed ideas from different people, while at the same time alluding that time constraints were catching up with us.
