Inflation means a long-term process of reducing the purchasing power of money. Therefore, inflation causes an increase in the general price level, accompanied by a corresponding depreciation of money. Hyperinflation presents an adverse economic phenomenon, which means extremely fast or uncontrolled inflation. Therefore, hyperinflation has a significant impact on all spheres of social life and devastates national economy. The main objective of this research is to investigate hyperinflation in developing countries and examine the primary reasons for hyperinflation. Also, it is necessary to analyze the historical example of hyperinflation in Yugoslavia and draw appropriate conclusions.
