The United Kingdom and India are countries that have a colossal cultural diversity which actively influences every aspect of their societies. According to Pitlik and Rode (2017), in terms of business, the United Kingdom society tends to be individualistic. In most instances, people get to raise and run their businesses by themselves without including family members and friends in their activities. Their culture places each member of the society on neutral and liberal business ground where one can freely carry out different activities with minimal or no restrictions. On occasions where a family member gets involved in a business, there are no strings attached between business and family issues (Pitlik et al., 2017).
Contrary, culture and especially family links greatly influences almost every sector of the Indian society (Jayaram et al., 2014). The business sector in the Indian society is deeply rooted in the family bases and it’s operated as a family organization where every member has a share in everything that is under the name of the business. Indian society has its bases on the cultural bases which are even incorporated in their constitution (Jayaram et al., 2014). Surprisingly, businesses become a centre of marriage ties where family members from different business allies tend to intermarry with a notion of retaining the business prestige in their lineages.
