Voluntary turnover is when the employees leave the organization as a personal decision. This can result from the need to acquire more education or the acquisition of a different job which he may consider to beg a greener pasture. Voluntary turnover is done at one's free will and there are no circumstances that force the employee into leaving the organization. The organization is normally not aware of staff exit and the level of staff performance will be affected.
Involuntary turnover occurs when the employees leave the organization for reasons that are not personal. Involuntary turnover is normally an effective way of ensuring that the human resources are managed in the best way possible. The employees will be forced by circumstances to exit the organization and it is in most cases from the company's management. The employer is normally aware of the situation and immediate filling up will be necessary. Through the involuntary turnover, it will be possible to determine why the employees are leaving the organization.
