Classic theories and the roles of a manager in relevance to management issues of every organization
There are different, excellent ideas on the roles of a manager and their relevance to the regular managerial issues. There are two prominent theories explaining the specific roles a manager in a various organization. Initially, there is Fayal’s theory created by the French engineer Henri Fayol about the principles of the classical management. With much experience as a prominent director of a mining company, he developed several theories that are still relevant today (Comfort & Franklin, 2011). The principles of the Fayal’s theory are comprises five major processes such as planning, organizing, leading, coordination, and controlling.
Planning
According to the Fayal’s theory regarding forecasting and planning, the managers have the responsibility to assess the future and adjust the according to its provisions. It needs the active participation of the entire organization for its success.
Organizing
The theory states that there should be an appropriate organizational structure that allows the organization activities and plans to be performed. There must be plenty of funds, staff and raw materials for a perfect performance of the organization (O'Cass & Sok, 2013).
Leading
In every organization, the managers are given the responsibility for leading and coordinating all the activities of the organization. The manager inspires the staff and secures their commitment to the organization and the jobs.
Controlling
There must be a subsystem of the control system to discover what is happening for the comparison purposes to what had already happened in the organization for the future planning process. Control takes place in four main steps such as the establishing performance standards based on organizational objectives. Measure and report on actual performance, compare results with performance and standards.
Other theories created by the Mintz berg managerial roles about business management. The theory elaborated the regular administrative task of a manager in an organization. . Management expert and Professor Henry Mint berg recognized the process and suggested various roles used to categorize managers different positions.
Interpersonal Category
The interpersonal category deals with the information and ideas responsible for the organizational developments.
Figurehead
The manager has social, ceremonial and legal responsibilities and is expected to be a source of inspiration to an organization. The manager is viewed with authority and figurehead.
Leader
It is the responsibility of providing the leadership for your team in an organization dealing with management of individual’s activity in the team (Shavinina, 2003). 
Liaison
There should be smooth coordination of the manager with external and internal contacts to enhance the development of the company by gathering more information to expand production.
Decisional Category
All the activities involve the use of relevant information gathered.
Entrepreneurship
Enables a manager to create and control change within the organization by generation and implementation of new ideas.
Disturbance Handler
The manager has the responsibility to handle very delicate situations faced by the organization evaluate them providing amicable solutions to the problems.
