One area of controversy is how well you can accurately assess the personalities of employees or potential employees. One popular way is through various questionnaires.
For your first post, give the following information:
- How would you rate yourself on each of the Big Five personality traits based on only the description of the trait? Would your friends agree with your self-ratings?
- After your own self-ratings, do a search in Google or other search engines on "big five personality test" and find an online personality test that will tell you how you rate on the Big Five dimensions. Take the test and compare your results with your initial self-ratings. How do you feel about the personality test you took? Was it accurate or not very helpful? Also, provide the link to the test you found in case any of your classmates want to use it.
- Compare your results with those of your classmates, and try to find a classmate with opposite traits as you as well as one with very similar traits

The big five personality characters are extraversion, neuroticism, HYPERLINK "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conscientiousness" \h conscientiousness, HYPERLINK "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agreeableness" \h agreeableness, and openness (Thomas, 2004). These personality characters determine the way a person behaves and socialize with other. Before undertaking the test, I have rated my personality to be so high in the ability to solve problems, with very high skills of dealing with it. My friends trusted me because of the way I handle my job skills, I have high performance in my job (John et al., 2008). I have been smart enough in the job I have been doing, with good interpersonal skills and having the required technical skills.
I have used this website, /pages/article/newTMC_72.htm to check if I am good at problem solving skills. I have to give the answer as I am rather than what I am thinking I should be, this is what will guide me to give accurate answers (Thomas, 2004). The score understanding from my test is that, my methodology to problem solving is a bit “hit-and misses". Off and on again my answers work truly well and different times they don't. I comprehend what I have to do, and i perceive that having organized problem-solving methodology is imperative. Then again I don't generally take after that process. I conclude the outcomes of this personality traits test are not accurate, since some of the test questions were not clear to me hence compromising my ability to answer them (John et al., 2008).
