Airtel has started 4G service trial in metropolitan city Mumbai since 16/05/2015(Saturday). According to Kavipriya, (2015) Airtel too got affiliated to South Korean Company Samsung to promote their service packages through their upcoming gadets. Samsung is going to divulge the new core prime 4g mobile providing 4G service package.

Airtel 4g Trail is provided only for the existing Airtel 3G customers at the 3G rates. On this occasion AshokGanapathy, BhartiAirtel CEO for hub-Mumbai, Maharashtra and Goa stated "We are going to start Airtel 4G trial for checking the 4G service quality, this trial can be utilised by our existing Airtel users, they can upgrade their 3G sims to the 4G for free of cost at their local retail touch-out centres and can utilise this service for 3G service charges, our customers are our primary priority and thus we provide this service exclusively to them”. Kavipriya, (2015) indicates that Airtel started this trial to get feedback from the customers regarding the quality of the 4G service and then take the further steps in according to the feedback.
