"http://" is the Web protocol standard. "/" is the Web server name. "The Company/" is the folder name. "Revenues.html" is the file name and the file extension. The file extension helps to further locate thefile by providing more specifications. Notice the URL never contains any spaces at all.
Every URL consists of the following elements in order.
Http is a scheme name commonly known as the protocol. This shows how to connect and directs you where the resource will be obtained. A colon and followed by two slashes.
 HYPERLINK ""  is also referred to as the domain and gives the destination location of the URL. It is not always case sensitive.
The domain is always followed by the path for example the company name. This in most cases is case sensitive and is used to specify in finding the resource required.
Revenue.html, this is the fragment identifier that in such a case used to specify a section or location within the page.
