According to some studies, it has been evidenced that by the first quarter of 2006, 73% of American adults had used internet and/or email. With the ever increasing numbers of both writing and reading taking place on the internet, there has since been a transformation in literacy from being a solitary pursuit to a collective pursuit. The concept of just being a consumer is no longer there.
The present day reading is now demanding for an on-the-spot response, be it through commenting on a blog or doing a review on Amazon.
