Online education and traditional education has clear differences from each other with benefits of one being the disadvantages of the other. Students have to judge the pros and cons of each option before choosing the mode of study to use. Whichever the choice a student settles on, it all depends on a student’s expectation.
With regards to advantages of online education, online courses are more affordable. The student saves more as there are no charges for learning experience infrastructure such as classes and hostels. It is flexible and convenient because the student can learn at any time and from anywhere (Ncu.edu, 2015). Online learning also enhances the learning of digital skills in digital space and keeps up to date with current job demands in changing times.
On the other hand, the cons of online education are the pros of the traditional education. Traditional education provides more experience especially in applied subjects than online learning (Ncu.edu, 2015). Notably, the money paid for the traditional education goes to providing the student with the experience such as dorms, dining halls, parties, communal activities, sports teams, clubs, etc.
Furthermore, traditional education helps the student to acquire networks that otherwise are difficult to secure through online education (Ncu.edu, 2015). The network comes in the form of relationships and contacts gained during the college life. These networks help students even after college and comes in handy during the job search.
