The controversial cheerios commercial featured a biracial daughter who asked her white mother if cheerios are suitable for the heart's health, where then the mother replied that cheerios are ideal for the heart. The girl then dropped the cheerios on the black father's chest in a playful manner to help his heart be healthy while he was sleeping on the couch. The commercial brought many reactions from the general public to the video's comment section, where many liked the video and talked well about it. In contrast, others disliked it since it involved a mixed-racial family making an advert about cheerios.
When making an advert about a product, any company's primary goal is to make money by attracting more customers and educating the customers on the benefits of choosing a particular company's product. The campaign about cheerios also its main aim was to educate about the health benefits that a person can get after taking Cheerios. This is seen by how the mother to the girl tells her that the cheerios are suitable for the heart educating the people about the health benefits of cheerios. The campaign's other goal was to create more awareness about Cheerios' existence, and many people knew that cheerios existed as a brand after watching the advert.
