Notably, culture and freedom are intertwined. Traditions undeniably represent a vital piece of individuals' culture. They play an important role in the establishment of the structure and foundation of both families and societies. Traditions remind people that they are part of a history that defines their past, shaping who they are presently and who they would likely become. Thus, when people ignore their roots or traditions, they are in threat of damaging the foundation of their identity.
