Abstract
Bullying is one of the pressing issues globally. Bullying is an offensive action that is deliberate and requires a dominance imbalance. It is a repetitive activity, and it can be physical, verbal, or behavioral. Although boys may be bullying others by more physical means, girls are also bullying others by social rejection. Bullying has been part of the classroom and also the workplace for years. Preventing and stopping abuse requires a commitment to providing a healthy atmosphere where children can grow socially and academically without being afraid. This article explores the terminology, background, reasons, and consequences of bullying. Several characteristics and repercussions for bullies and victims are mentioned. This paper sheds light on bullying in schools and what different researchers have to say about it. Furthermore, the paper also presents a few solutions that can be incorporated to reduce bullying and create a healthy environment for students.
