The discrimination model entails choosing a supervisor position to meet the needs and goals of the supervisee while also carrying out the twin responsibility of assessing the supervisee's competency. On the other hand, the Hawkins and Shohet Model of Supervision proposes a supervision process model that considers organizational and social circumstances. Both models involve a supervisor meeting regularly and interacting with the worker(s) to review their work, providing supervisors with experiences that naturally promote an excellent supervisory relationship.
