Early Medieval Cultures Essay Literature & Language Essay Paper (Essay Sample)

Instructions:

Compare the development of one specific Islamic and one specific Christian location between 632–1000 C.E. When discussing each location, provide a more specific timeline, and consider adding examples of significant leaders, political and social structures, beliefs, and cultural products (stories, philosophies, theologies, artifacts, art, and architecture). Your comparison should identify similarities and differences in the two religious-based cultures, and also indicate influences they share. Be careful not to compare the religions as a whole but instead focus on a range of cultural elements in your two specific locations because cultures may vary even within one religion depending on time and place.

These clusters made up the tribes that maintained their culture while perceiving outsiders as enemies. For example On such culture that was dominant in the Arabian peninsula before the rise of Islam was the Bedouin people, on the other hand, the Byzantine people occupied the areas of the ancient capital Rome with the Roman emperor Heraclius.

For example, Muhammad occupied a respectable religious position during the 622 in Mecca Arabia while Byzantine church was led by religious leaders referred to as bishops who were removed or appointed by the emperor. Another similarity is that during their civilizations, these locations were characterized by paganism. In Arabia, for example, to the 600 CE, there was a considerable population of Jews, which was a result of some leaders who had chosen to follow Judaism, such as Dhu Nuwas and Abu Karib Asad.
