Hiring the best people and ensuring they are adequately trained is among the most effective techniques used by organizations to ensure success (Vaidyanathan, 2009). In this case, it is apparent that the staff learned valuable new skills since all of them were expert LabVIEW programmers and were able to understand well the materials presented. The staff members also had to become trainers and learn how to help the organization improve the skills of other employees with the requirements set. Therefore, the seeming success of the software in the organization has resulted in an increased demand from other organizations.
According to Collins et al. (2019), the success of a software implementation process relies upon on the formal techniques used, methods applied, and the available technical expertise. Equally, the success of the application in Collins Aerospace can be measured on the basis of the new skills learned. While it was the case, there were incidences of failures linked to the application. The transferred application failed since the lab lacked the necessary equipment and human resources. To repeat the success of the software seems not very plausible in a lacking environment. As such, the application was not entirely successful in achieving its purpose.
