Environmental protection refers to protection of the environment on an individual level, government level, and organization control. A healthy environment is part of us and our future generation. Humans require that the air, water, and food they consume be free of contaminants. Environmental pollutions caused by over consumption of resources, technology, and industrial waste and pollution. Due to industrial production and its waste that emit gasses such as carbon gasses global warming has grown o high levels, degraded soil compounds, contaminated water and emission of radioactive waves, measures of environmental protection put in place. Such measures include; reduction of contaminated activities, reduction of chemicals used on farms and reduction in emission of carbon dioxide to overcome global warming.
Conservation is the best way to protect the environment. Protection refers to the policy of managing the environment to ensure an adequate supply of resources. In the recent past, there has been a growing realization that the quality of food, soils, water, and air have degraded. The pollution has increased the ranges of allergies disorder in body hormones and fertility systems. Environmental protection has its challenges too. They are; inadequate individual and organization support, environmental protection agencies, waste disposal schemes, land management and funding on environmental protection programs.
Environmental agencies have only have passed legislation in dealing with specific problems of environmental pollution. Mismanagement of such bodies and politics causes malfunction. Some [of the organization members have personal reasons for being on the board rather than concentration on the conservation of the environment. Dealing with specific problems deflects attention from social policy decisions to scientific findings. The problems lead to the inability of the agencies to demand better board guidance on environmental protection. Poor resource utilization leads to weak strategic planning. With clear targets under mandated programs, the companies would respond effectively to their responsibilities. The agencies would also offer public awareness to the large population on the effects of pollution and measures of control. Office branches may be established in countries world for efficiency in public awareness.
Individual and organizational support is critical to environmental protection. Some manufacturing companies emit a lot of carbon dioxide. Installations of devices to control the emissions are expensive. Most companies tend to ignore the installation of devices if not followed up by the government or responsible parties, hence global warming. Some individuals for instant farmers may continue using chemicals on farm produce. The chemicals degrade the soil compounds and water pollution. The consumption of such products may lead to diseases such as cancers. Such organizations and individuals ought to have education on the effects of pollution and mandatory rules and regulations proposed. Heavy fines and penalties charged to those who chose to break the rules.
Waste disposal schemes lead to pollution. Waste management efforts should be waste minimization. Waste disposal projects ought to be re-contracted to accommodate more waste. Solid waste traditionally is dumped in landfills. Landfills are not sustainable. Some solid waste materials are burned at high temperatures to reduce the bulkiness. More so, recycle technology of waste should be employed. Waste matter reprocessed after purification, and robust waste turned to fertilizers. Individuals should practice home ecosystem management by biogas generation and use of solar power and heating systems. The government and voluntary organizations should fund the schemes. The vehicles that transport the waste are to be renewed to avoid spillage of the toxins. Dumping sites should be properly monitored and away from the human residence. Workers in the companies offered protective gears and good working conditions. Research on more ways to reuse waste conducted.
Land management is the way in which human use land with animals and plants. Ground management is a challenge on environmental protection. Tracks of open land used for the disposal of waste. Landowners that practice farming may excessively use chemicals or establish companies that emit toxins into the soils, water or air.
