Introduction
Spencer’s book is contentious and has a sacred nature. The Faerie Queene has adventures of numerous medieval knights. It focuses on history, legends, and myths. Each of his seven books focuses on the knight who has a specific virtue. The plot tests the knight's morality. It sees the reforms are represented by the Faerie Queen Gloriana (Johnson, 2016). The book shows praises and criticisms to Elizabeth. In the chosen passage, there are four characters present. There is Fradubio, Redcrosse, Fidessa, and Fraelissa. The fourth character gets told off as the journey unfolds. The actors bring interest in the concept as the storyline progressed. They engage in conversation to find out the source of the plights. He uses an archaic language that clearly shows Middle English level in the sixteenth century. Spencer's writing makes the poem to have an original taste.
Thesis statement
Fradubio and Fraelissa were tricked into a path of imprisoning their lives in trees.
Storyline
Spencer's storyline is quite impressive. The pre-requisite context of the chosen passage depicts how Redcrosse meets Duessa. She pretends to be in distress to entrap him. Redcrosse decides to carry her along due to her beauty as he had been cursed for an unchaste dream previously. The context begins as they travel together and arrive at two trees with trembling leaves which is suggested as fearful (Nazarian, 2018). The two decide to rest. Redcrosse makes his lady a crown from one of the trees and drop of blood oozed out. The tree then yells and warns Redcrosse to flee the area of which he had been cast a tree. The Freeman identifies himself as Fradubio. Redcrosse gathers interest to know the story. Fradubio explains how he and his lady who is also a tree rode together. They met another couple of which he fights with the man and kills him.
