Most East Asian countries which include China, North Korea, and Japan have greatly been affected by pollution due to many emissions from industrial waste products as it is considered their main economic activity. Their governments have greatly invested in these industries. Emissions from greenhouse gases include methane gas, carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and Sulphur gas. These gaseous when released into the atmosphere, tend to raise the average temperature of the earth's surface. Gases such as Sulphur dioxide which is produced in industries that deal with the extraction of copper cause bronchitis, asthma in children and even adults.
China's economic growth in the last 30years has rapidly grown due to its enormous economic activity. These have been influenced by the high population in china, motorized vehicles, and natural resources such as minerals. These activities have to lead to a rise in manufacturing industries that use a large number of resources extracted in china such as copper and sulphur. Most industries use coal which largely contributes to the smog in Beijing CITATION Pay15 \l 1033 (Payne & Nassar, 2015). The smog forms a dense cloud across the city causing the temperature and the humidity to rise and also blocks the sun rays from penetrating the surface, affecting the economy of the country as most flights are canceled and several roads crossed due to lack of visibility.
