In this case, nearly all participants willing to participate in the study should be a worrying activity to Theo as they may have compromised their stand to give the response. The staff's approach may be top course such that they depict the study as mandatory to all engaging in the service, inducing fear, primarily upon the disclosure that it is state-sponsored. The participant's pretense of embracing a reservation mode where they are concerned about the company's welfare rather than themselves insinuates that they are impending reasons behind the inclination. This may be due to the dependency on the program and the fear of missing out, given that it is state-sponsored (ASA, 2016). It is prudent for them to make the disclosure for their sponsorship but at the same time ensure that they compel the participants to offer reliable information by informing them of the essentiality of the program. In doing so, they would have minimized the risks attached to the compromised service delivery as it is the prime emphasis of the consent for the vulnerable populations in the society (Gordon, 2020). In line with providing additional protection for their wellbeing, there is a sense in which the staff may not have established an outright rapport that could be convincing to the participants of the essentiality of their study. Ideally, they may have given responses out of fear and protection.
Without any doubt, Theo has trained his staff effectively to handle the participants with the needful expertise and ensure that they consent to the study. However, the study results depicting that the participants have not reacted of their free will in offering the needful information insinuate that a review was necessary. The said review would have ensured that they deliberate on the possible inclinations that they might have had in the presence of the staff and perhaps establish a softer approach that would ensure that they vouch for the information in a more considerate manner (Shivayogi, 2013). Furthermore, the participants need to be aware of their data usage; hence, Theo remained obligated for the disclosure.
