Individuals will be able to sustain good connections with one another on a personal level and build a framework for conflict resolution when disagreements arise. Leaders in many professions have personal contact with employee disputes, necessitating the development of an efficient conflict resolution process (Odumeru & Ifeanyi, 2013). There are two forms of leadership: transactional and transformative. Transactional leaders stress the significance of oversight, regulation, and team effectiveness. They are always preoccupied with the status quo and measure progress. By directing followers' behaviors toward a shared objective, transformational leaders want to improve their followers' interest and engagement. Transactional leadership functions within defined constraints of processes, institutions, and ambitions, while transformational leadership questions the current status and seems to be change-oriented (Odumeru & Ifeanyi, 2013).
Leadership is defined as a situation where a person motivates a group of others to attain a common objective. In a culture where parents promote positive conduct in their children, leadership plays out in families as a basic unit. Parents are expected to be role models for their children as the family's leaders. Supervisors and managers are excellent examples of leaders in the workplace (Northouse, 2021). Managers try to provide younger workers a sense of direction by influencing their attitude toward work to attain organizational objectives. Transactional leadership fosters compliance to defined company objectives and performance requirements through supervision including the use of rewards and sanctions. Transactional leaders place a premium on task and outcome. To enhance job satisfaction and commitment, transformational leadership strives to integrate employees' sense of self with company ideals. This effective leadership emphasizes setting a good example in order for followers to engage with the organization ’s goals and ideas.
Conflicts between people are unavoidable in everyday encounters, which is a delicate topic. From a global viewpoint, conflict resolution is extremely important in today's society (Wani, 2011). When there are disputes, conflicts are sure to develop if there is no system in place to resolve them. Mediation, arbitration, and negotiation are examples of conflict resolution mechanisms that attempt to resolve disagreements amicably and promote harmony. A peaceful resolution prevents a disagreement from escalating to the point of the war. Conflict resolution and its procedures must be created and implemented in disputes since they are unavoidable. Transactional leaders might be very successful in the right conditions. Sporting players and coaches are a great example of transactional leadership in effect. Even though a sports team having rules allow for some freedom and rigid compliance to established standards is required, excellent coaches can motivate their players to compete and win unless it is to their detriment. (Odumeru & Ifeanyi, 2013). Transformational leaders captivate people by offering a captivating mission, which they then relate to a strategy for attaining it. By involving and inspiring followers, they persuade users to recognize with the strategic direction of the organization.
