Introduction
Advance changes in information communication technology have led to drastic changes in the running of the organization and there has been a continuous shift from traditional service product to vital service work. Vital teaming is a new way of organizing work that allows people to work together even though they are geographically separated. Vital teams are groups of organizationally dispersed co-workers that are interconnected by a combination of telecommunication and information technologies to accomplish an organizational goal. This paper is aimed to explore the meaning of virtual teams, building a vital team and managing conflicts virtually.
Part I.
Virtual team teams communicate through technology to communicate with each other rather than face to face. The activity leader leads members from different organizational functions to reach the organizational goal and perform the task successfully by people from different geographical locations (Newman, 2019). The members communicate and they plan each members’ contribution to the project and constant communication is done to ensure that they all work in the same line towards achieving a particular goal. The members work interdependently with a shared purpose across space, time, and organizational boundaries using information communication technology to communicate and collaborate (Ubell, 2016).
