Motivation can be defined as a force that makes an individual to behave in a certain way which involves an action that has been energized within the body. Motivation is a conceptual drive that activates, intensifies and makes individuals persist in showing their behavior. It cannot be seen directly in person but rather it is expressed in the way they perform they behaviors and express ideas. Emotions on the other hand, are feelings that are present in an individual that are brought about by the chemical changes in the body of an individuals and are often related to the thoughts and behavioral aspects. Finally, behavior can be defined as the way in which an individual responds to different situations or environments differently in the way they do their things or respond to actions.
The motivation that most individuals possess are as result of the emotions they portray and conduct themselves in behaving to different scenarios. The relationship between motivation, behavior, and emotion is that they all depend on the cognitive ability of an individual in relating to different situations differently (Obergriesser & Stoeger, 2015). The relationship between these variables also depend on the environment that an individual is situated at. For example, in situation where an individual is challenged by a brutal person to fight, the individual can portray or show different behaviors in the way they will address the issue based on their emotions and motivation that drives them. If the person is willing to fight he becomes self-motivated ready to get into action while the individual is in deep anger ready to settle the scores through fighting. On the other hand if the individual does not have the behavior of responding to anger through violence they possess the virtue of self-control by showing an emotion of fear which counters anger and also motivates people to be calm and concerned about one another. In this situation the individual will be in motivation of maintaining peace with contentment.
